COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

What a Holiday Season it was at Elkins Chevrolet! With help from the Elkins Chevrolet Employees and Customers, we were able to feed hundreds of families in the area. We would like to thank both Temple Emanuel and the St. Vincent de Paul Society for allowing us to contribute to such a great cause. Also, a special thanks to the Salvation Army for helping us distribute hundreds of dollars in toys to make the Holidays special for kids in need.
In November, we donated an Express Van full of food for Temple Emanuel’s “Cram the Van” event which helped those in need have a great Thanksgiving meal. In December, we teamed up with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and had another great food drive to feed families for the holidays. And thank you to everyone who helped fill the HUGE Salvation Army Toy Drive Box. As big as the box was, it was overflowing!

Elkins Chevrolet was proud to sponsor the Lakes Corvette Club Antique & Classic Car Show held at the 2010 Autumn in Moorestown Main Street Festival. It was a gorgeous fall day to see some AMAZING cars! We highlighted a 2007 Yellow Corvette Convertible (recently purchased by a Club member!), a 2010 Red Corvette ZR1, a 2010 Red Camaro 2SS/RS, a 2010 Aqua Blue Metallic Camaro 2LT/RS, and a rare 2004 Corvette Yellow SSR. Once again, Dave Weiner, our Used Car Sales Manager, was in attendance to select an Elkins Chevrolet favorite. The competition was tough between all of the Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, and tons of other fun Muscle Cars. The winner was Tom Angelucci from Mount Laurel with his unbelievable 1970 Chevelle SS (pictured below)! It was a pleasure sponsoring such a well run show with some phenomenal cars in attendance. In the spirit of community collaboration and teamwork taught through youth sports, we at Elkins Chevrolet are supporting Marlton Soccer through the Chevrolet Youth Soccer program. This sponsorship will include both monetary and equipment donations during the fall 2010 youth soccer season. This is the first time we are sponsoring a soccer season as we have sponsored the past 2 Marlton Baseball seasons with similar donations. Also, it was our pleasure sponsoring the 2010 Marlton Soccer Tournament held this past month.
Chevrolet Youth Soccer is a grassroots initiative that establishes a positive relationship between local dealers and the communities they serve. We are sponsoring Marlton Soccer as a part of Chevrolet’s nation-wide commitment to support youth sports, one community at a time. Over the course of the season, we will donate equipment to the league which includes: soccer balls, ball bags, scorebooks, field cones, coaches’ kits, corner flags, scrimmage vests, and first aid kits. And, with every vehicle purchased by a Marlton Soccer family, we will donate $100 towards the league! In addition, thanks to our sponsorship, league participants will have a chance to attend Chevrolet Youth Soccer Instructional Clinics in our area.
Each sponsored league will take part in “The Chevrolet Youth Soccer Breakaway Giveaway” which is a fundraiser that can earn each league up to $10,000! “The Chevrolet Youth Soccer Breakaway Giveaway” features a grand prize of a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox.
We are looking forward to a great season with Marlton Soccer that will be filled with exciting games and an enhanced experience for the teams through the equipment and cash donations. Chevrolet Youth Soccer is just one example of how committed our dealership is to supporting the youth and families in our community.

June 13th Elkins Chevrolet was proud to be a sponsor of the 3rd Annual Danielle Bledy Memorial 5K Run/1 Mile Fun Walk which was held at Cherry Hill East on June 13th, 2010. Below is more information about the Bledy’s great cause! 
 June 5th~6th Elkins Chevrolet was proud to be a sponsor of the 2010 American Cancer Society Relay for Life which was held June 5th-6th at Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ. This was our first year of involvement and look forward to being a part of this great cause for years to come! A special thanks to Robin Forcier for the opportunity to participate.

Elkins Chevrolet was proud to sponsor the 7th Annual Blast from the Past Lakes Corvette Club Show. It was a perfect day to see some AMAZING cars! We highlighted an all new 2010 Grand Sport Convertible Corvette, an all new 2010 Limited Edition Synergy Green Camaro, a 2010 Camaro SS, a 2004 Corvette Convertible, and a loaded, Explorer Conversion Van. In attendance was Dave Weiner, our Used Car Sales Manager, who had to select a Elkins Chevrolet favorite and the competition was tough between Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, and tons of other fun Muscle Cars. The winner was a 1969 Dodge Super Bee! It was a pleasure sponsoring such a well run show with some phenomenal cars in attendance.

| Marlton Baseball:
Elkins Chevrolet is proud to sponsor multiple Marlton Baseball teams this 2010 Spring Season along with provide the league with all new baseball equipment. Above is Kevin Gaffney, Equipment Manager for Marlton Baseball, receiving all new helmets, baseballs, and first aid kits. This is the 2nd Season Elkins Chevrolet and Marlton Baseball have worked together to provide the kids with the latest and greatest baseball equipment.

SAFE KIDS NIGHT AT ELKINS CHEVROLET
On December 7th, 2009, Elkins Chevrolet was proud to host Cub Scouts Troop #439, Den 7 from Tabernacle and assist them with earning their Automotive Safety Patch. With the help of Maureen from Safe Kids of Southern NJ and Sue from the Brain Injury Association of NJ, the kids learned about Seatbelt Safety, how to use OnStar in the case of an emergency, and taught both kids and parents learn how big the blind spot really is behind a vehicle with the aid of the “Spot the Tot” mat. The fun filled night ended with some apple juice, pretzels, and the awarding of the Safety Patch seen below. We here at Elkins Chevrolet wanted to thank Maureen, Sue, and Troop #439 Den 7 for the opportunity to host this event!
